This book teaches you how to become a working book reviewer, from how to get review copies on through how to get paid for your reviews. I hadn't previously given much thought to anything beyond the review itself, and this book filled in a lot of that surrounding territory for me. Hipson treats reviews less as an esoteric literary artifact and more as a job to get done. This book demystifies the process of writing reviews and would be most useful to someone who wants to go very deep into the lesser-read books in a genre as Hipson has done with horror.
